Managing Test Plans
Test plans are displayed on the Test Plans tab of the Runbooks module.
This page displays the test plan title, associated tactics, date the plan was last updated, and the number of procedures within the test plan. Test plans can be started, viewed, deleted, or exported from the "Actions" column.

Step 1: From the Test Plans tab of the Runbooks V2 module/home page, click Start under the "Actions" menu of the test plan.

Step 2: Select the client from the pulldown menu. Click Next.

Step 3: Review and update plan details as desired. Click Continue.

Step 3: Review and add procedures as desired. Click Add X Procedures.

Step 4: Click Start new engagement.

Step 5: Begin engagement by selecting a procedure and clicking View.

Step 6: The procedure page will appear. Enter information and repeat for each procedure.

From the Test Plans tab of the Runbooks V2 module/home page, click View under the "Actions" menu of the test plan.

From the Test Plans tab of the Runbooks V2 module/home page, click Edit under the "Actions" menu of the test plan. If the user does not have access to edit, the option will not exist.

From the Test Plans tab of the Runbooks V2 module/home page, click the three dots under the "Actions" menu of the test plan and then click Delete. If the user does not have access to delete, the option will not exist.

From the Test Plans tab of the Runbooks V2 module/home page, click the three dots under the "Actions" menu of the test plan and then click Export.

A dialog box will appear confirming download. Click Continue export.

The test plan will download to the local device as a YAML file.
Runbooks can be imported into PlexTrac. Only YAML files are supported and in these scenarios:
- 1.A YAML file exported from the Runbooks module: This is the method for migrating existing runbooks into the Runbooks V2 solution. More information on this process is explained below on this page.
- 2.A YAML file exported from Runbooks V2.
- 3.A MITRE Adversary Emulation Plan YAML file.
Step 1: From the Test Plans tab of the Runbooks V2 module/home page, click Import test plan.

Step 2: Select the import type from the pulldown menu.

Step 3: Drag the YAML file or navigate to it locally and click Upload.
Multiple files can be imported at the same time, as long as each file has a unique name.
Imported test plans will appear in the Test Plans tab. Procedures from imported test plans are stored in a dynamically generated open repository called "Import" that will appear in RunbooksDB.

Step 1: From the Manage page of the Runbooks module, click Export under the "Actions" column of the runbook to export.

Step 2: A dialog box appears asking for confirmation of action. Click Export.

A YAML file is downloading locally for edit or import into Runbooks V2.
Step 3: From the Test Plans tab of the Runbooks V2 module/home page, click Import test plan.

Step 4: Select the import type from the pulldown menu.

Step 5: Drag the YAML file or navigate to it locally and click Upload.
