Finding Status Tracker

This page explains how to update the status of a finding and create a ticket in Jira.
Plextrac allows team members to comment and provide updates on findings. PlexTrac integrates with Jira Cloud so findings are automatically added as tasks in Jira, and comments from Jira are automatically included as status updates in PlexTrac.

Updating Finding Status

Step 1: Navigate to the desired finding and click Status under the "Actions" column of the finding.
Step 2: Click Add Update.
Step 3: Update the status, sub-status, assigned user and any comments on the finding as desired. Click Save.
A record and timestamp of the status change is recorded.
Click the plus-sign to add additional information as needed. Additional information will be added to the record for future reference.

Creating a Jira Ticket

Step 1: Navigate to the desired finding and click Status under the "Actions" column of the finding.
Step 2: Click Create Jira Ticket & Link.
Step 3: Select the Jira project to link to from the pulldown menu and click Save.
