PlexTrac is updating its Jira integration to support multiple client-based integrations. This update has implications for those using the API in an unsupported workflow to add Jira ticket links to PlexTrac findings.
With the 2.12 release, scheduled for early December, PlexTrac will implement the following changes:
PlexTrac will no longer support Jira links on findings not tied to a configured Jira integration.
A proper connection between PlexTrac and Jira will be required to ensure proper data synchronization between the two platforms.
Cascading deletion of all Jira links will be implemented when a Jira integration is removed from a tenancy.
Impacted customers are advised to take the following actions before the 2.12 release:
Evaluate any findings that have Jira links from previously deleted integrations.
Review findings with Jira links that may have been added outside of an integration through the API.
This update affects customers using the API to add Jira ticket links to PlexTrac findings in an unsupported workflow. This practice will no longer be possible after the 2.12 release.
Customers with questions about this change or requiring assistance should contact PlexTrac support.
